He served in the Army for two years where he was stationed in Germany and five years in the Army Resserve. Jim married Janet Lee Kidwell on July 19, 1979 in Colorado Springs, CO. She survives. She was a lifetime area resident and worked as a CNA most recently at Minneola Long Term Care. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1992. Ralph was born at home in Salitpa, Alabama, the youngest of 6, where he grew up loving to explore the woods and fishing in Satilpa Creek. In 1961, he received his bachelors degree in Vocational/Agricultural Education from Kansas State University, where he also played football and ran hurdles for the track team. Glenna graduated from Alexander Consolidated High School on May 19, 1938. Karlais preceded in death by her Mother & Father Teckla & Alfred Breit, Sister Karen Shaw, and Brother Artie Breit. While hedabbled in otherventures, he always returned to the rink business that he loved best. The following February that same doctor expressed he never expected to see her again. After their divorce, Betty and Rona lived in Hutchinson, where she was employed at Valley Federal Savings and Loan for many years. They enjoyed many wonderful trips together across the US. Wayne was born on September 16, 1944 to Delmer and Pauline (McKie) Garrison. During Christmas break in 1952-1953 Howard accepted a teaching position in Harold, Texas where they remained for a year and a half. Chuck wore many hats in the community. Sue had many talents including sewing, fashion design, quilting, and gardening, and had a sewing business for a number of years. She continued to spread her love and joy and made many new friends. Marilyn was an avid bowler and was on a league bowling team for over 50 years. He resumed his normal activities of riding horses, roping, doctoring and taking care of cattle, as well as (reluctantly) learning to drive a tractor again, mastering all of these tasks with his wood leg. On January 1, 1947 Roy and Esther were married in Dodge City, Kansas. Delbert was preceded in death by both his father Hurl and mother Lila, his brother Robert Hurst and sister Donna Reasoner.
