They were angry and yelling, but they didnt punch any cops, and they didnt do any damage inside the building.. As of 11:30 a.m., however, the scene at the Michigan Capitol is "very calm" with "a couple of people who appear to be protesters." Still, some local lawmakers could not help but draw a connection between the recent, violent extremist attack that occurred at the U.S. Capitol and threats of violence that have taken place on Michigans soil this year and last. As we have said before, the riot at the U.S. Capitol last week was a terrible moment for our country.
